Nepal Guide Treks & Expeditions offers you a classic adventure to Tilicho Lake a Semi Annapurna Circuit trekking in the high Himalayan region of Manang and Mustang area, This region was declared as the worlds best 10th trekking destinations by Lonely Planet and still retains its beauty and age old Buddhist culture, although a motorable dirt road has been constructed since last 3-4 years, however the diversity in landscapes, temperature and people that changes every few days makes this adventure worthwhile to visit, Nepal Guide Treks & Expeditions Tilicho Lake Trekking also a Semi Annapurna Circuit begins with an interesting drive of 6-7 hours passing towns, villages and farm land, then the walk leads to a slow climb most of the way following the raging Marsyangdi River upstream all the way to its source at Manang and beyond, trek passes through several small and large farm villages as the people changes with the temperature and landscapes, the lower region inhabit by Hindus as the walk progress towards higher ground where you will encounter mountain tribes Gurung, Manang and Thakalis with their rich Buddhist culture and traditions, an amazing change from the low land of sub-tropic, alpine to arctic zone where the tree-lines disappears from Manang onwards overlooking striking mountain views of Annapurna range of mountains including Pisang peak, Chulu peaks, Tilicho peak and numerous smaller uncountable mountains and valleys, on this adventure one can feel the slow change in altitude from Manang onwards at 3,800 meters, where we have a rest day free to explore the villages and the surrounding area. After Manang trekking North West in the snow leopard area, chances of seeing some wild life around this area as the trek leads towards Tilicho Lake a complete serene turquoise color lake at 4,919 meters enclosed with high peaks of Tilicho, Gangapurna and by other smaller snow capped mountains journey continues leading to the highest point of this trip at Mesokanta-la approx 5,200 meters, after a vigorous climb to the top of the pass offering fabulous views of the surrounding snow capped peaks and as far to the worlds 7th highest Mt. Dhaulagiri at 8,167m / 26,795 ft) and beyond.

From here trek descends towards Jomsom 2,716m a much warmer area at lower Mustang and the head quarter of whole Mustang district and finally ending this fabulous adventure at Jomsom for the scenic sweeping flight to Pokhara and onto Kathmandu.

Trip Outline

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters) transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley o/n in a hotel

Day 03: Kathmandu – Besishar (7hrs,830m) o/n in lodge


Day 04: Besishar – Bahun Danda (6 hrs,1311m) o/n in lodge

Day 05: Bahun Danda – Chamje (6/7 hrs,1715m) o/n in lodge 6 – 7 hours and over 400m ascend.

Day 06: Chamje – Bagarchhap(6/7 hrs,2164m) o/n in lodge

Day 07: Bagarchhap – Chame ( 6 hrs,2713m) o/n in lodge

Day 08: Chame – Pisang (5/6 hrs,3185m) o/n in lodge

Day 09: Pisang – Manang (5/6 hrs,3551m) o/n in lodge

Day 10: Manang – Rest Day o/n in lodge

Day 11: Manang – Khangsar (4/5 hrs,3850m) o/n in lodge

Day 12: Khangsar Gompa – Tilicho Base camp ( 4/5 hrs, 4200m) o/n in lodge

Day 13: Tilucho base camp to Khangsar via Tilicho Lake 5200m ( 6/7 hrs, 3850m) o/n in lodge

Day 14: Khangsar Manang o/n in lodge 4/5 hrs,3551m)

Day 15: Manang – Throng Phedi / High Camp ( 5/6 hrs,4450m) o/n in lodge

Day 16: Thhrong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong la 5416m ( 7/8 hrs,3800m) o/n in lodge

Day 17: Muktinath – Marfa (5/6 hrs, 2667m) o/n in lodge

Day 18: Trek to Jomsom (2720 meters) 5 hours.

Day 19: Early morning fly to Pokhara and sightseeing around Pokhara same day. Overnight at hotel.

Day 20: Leisure day in Pokhara Overnight at hotel.

Day 21: Drive back to Kathmandu (1345meters).

Day 22: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
